The Hotel Metropol was opened in summer 1999 and renovated in 2006. This fully-serviced hotel is located in the city center near the medieval town and passenger harbor. It is ideally situated in the heart of Tallinn, within walking distance of the historical center of old town and the main shopping areas. The hotel has three conference rooms for up to 70 people, lobby bar, night club, beauty salon, and Casino Mapau, situated on the first floor offering a friendly and secure environment. The Berlin Restaurant offers breakfast and a lunch buffet as well as a versatile supper menu, while the cafe with its cozy and intimate atmosphere offers a possibility for pleasant relaxation to those fond of tasty coffee and delicacies. Currency exchange and free parking are also available. The hotel offers 144 spacious bedrooms including 17 rooms with private sauna, six suites among them. The entire hotel is accessible with wheel chair and the hotel has two handicapped rooms. The fifth floor of the hotel is designed for non smokers and people with allergies. Cribs are provided free of charge subject to availability but need to be requested and confirmed by the hotel. There are a limited number of parking places for hotel customers free of charge but this is not a guarded facility. Each room has telephone, satellite TV, minibar, and a bathroom complete with shower regulating, floor heating, and a hairdryer. Room price includes breakfast and morning sauna. The room doors are sound and fire proof and equipped with a VingCard secure lock. Some rooms also have a spreading armchair. Children age 12 and under can stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding.
